San Giovanni Equestrian Centre

Just outside Città di Castello, on top of large hills surrounded by naturalistic discovery trails of the Alta Valle del Tevere, lies our equestrian center: a peaceful space for you and your horse. San Giovanni Equestrian Centre is an amateur sports association affiliated to FITETREC and ENDAS, recognized by the main Italian sports federation CONI. We have federal teachers with great experience, who can guide you with wisdom in learning equestrian disciplines, from the beginning to the competition. The Centre has two fields for riding, one in sand and one in grass, both lit to allow work sessions at night; an indoors space of 20 meters diameter that guarantees working in any season and weather condition; a paddock with a shelter for horses and 12 wooden boxes. San Giovanni Equestrian Centre is the perfect open air place to be in contact with nature and away from noises of city, thanks to its favorable geographical position and considerable territorial extension. We organize many horse rides and treks lasting several days. We follow many competitive activities, from dressage to working equitation, in particular how to separate a calf from the herd and competitive technical guidance. In addition, there is a field dedicated to training. Breeding calves allows the use of small calves as training in a field specially built and equipped with all the security structures. There is also the opportunity to stay overrnight in the farmhouse, where there are comfortable rooms, and enjoy the excellent cuisine of our restaurant Locanda di Bissa.
